Becoming a Certified S2C Practitioner is a rigorous process, preparing highly skilled specialists to teach purposeful motor skills. While we don’t provide this training directly, we can guide and support anyone interested in this professional pathway.

Common Questions about S2C Certified Practitioner Training

The training is online, and also includes a one-week face-to-face internship.

The training runs for approximately 6-7 months. The internship part of the training may be run outside of the 6-7 months, and therefore the training may take longer to complete.

The internship takes place in the region of the majority of the cohort. For instance, if the cohort includes 7 from Australia, 3 from New Zealand, and 2 from Singapore, it is likely the internship will run in Australia. The exact location will be determined by other factors such as finding a location to run the internship. The location of the internship is decided approximately 5 months into the training.
Please note: the internship location for Asia Pacific Cohorts will be located in the Asia Pacific region.

Communication Regulation Partner
(CRP Training)
CRPs are the vital support people who practice Spelling to Communicate with spellers at home or in everyday settings. We offer training consultation to parents, family members and care workers working with Spell to Connect, so that your spellers can be supported outside of formal sessions.
Our CRP training runs for 2 hours, and can be split into two sessions. Session times can be organised flexibly to suit.
Delivery: in-person at our Melbourne clinic or virtual.
Please note: This is only available to current S2C families (or caregivers) and those assigned by the families to be CRP's.
